Cat

cat flamingo Cat is another hooping scientist! She entered the Hooping Mad community in 2009. In her ‘spare time’ she works at the University of Bristol Department of Social and Community Medicine , 4 days a week. Cat has long and varied experience as a teacher in one form or another – one to one special needs coaching, lecturing in the Biomedical Sciences at both Universities of the West of England and Wolverhampton, adult and child health awareness workshops and childrens’ afterschool clubs to name but a few. She also holds Further and Adult Teaching Certificates. Then of course, Cat has been teaching hoop classes since September 2011 and running kids hoop workshops and parties. Cat has taught Starter, Improver and Intermediate/flow classes in Totterdown and assisted on Living Social workshops. Cat’s special interest is flow and loves sessions that involve creativity, movement and dance. She’s also partial to a few tricks;) To further her hoop skills and widen her repertoire, Cat attends hoop conferences and visiting teacher workshops as well as the Wednesday Bristol Hoop Jam. Cat is heavily involved in the Hooping Mad Community Hoop Troupe. In 2013 Cat taught at HoTS and the Irish Castle Extravaganza, as well as co-teaching (with Zoe) the hugely popular ‘Ho Flo and Dutty Tricks’ workshops ay SWhoop 2013.
